MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. The hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. In the following year, Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he also performed an duet with TINI's smash streaming single Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his older brother and mother are both musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is a must. He began playing guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. At first, he wanted to become Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons from the help of a Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
